Hi! My name is Lindy Davenport. I’m running for school board because I’ve lived in this area my whole life and I care deeply about the community and education.
As a young person with deep roots in the community, I love Clarke County and believe it’s a truly special place because of the beautiful natural scenery and vibrant community.
I’m committed to keeping Clarke County Public Schools as good as they are, and improving them where possible, for both this generation and generations to come.

As a young professional, I have recent firsthand experience graduating college and entering the workforce. I understand the skills needed to succeed in today’s rapidly changing career landscape.
I believe in the value of understanding technologies used in business, as well as the enduring value of traditional subjects like reading, writing, math, science, and history.
I also believe that students will be best prepared and most resilient when they receive a diverse education, that doesn’t just focus on classroom achievement.
Sports, extracurriculars, technical education all contribute to growing students to be well-rounded and resilient people.
